Team in Training

Like most family-owned businesses, the children of the owners learn a lot about the business while growing up. The same is true for Mike and Danelle’s kids.

Anytime their son is asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?” he replies, “Construction worker.” When he was very young, he would talk about daddy being at a “jobsite.” He has also been known to try his hand at drawing house plans and loves to read story books about building houses.  He recommends reading The House that Max Built by Maxwell Newhouse, Billy the Builder Bear Builds a House by Connie Valliere and Monsters on Machines by Deb Lund.

Their daughter loves color and loves to color.  For a 3 year old, she pays close attention to detail and works long and hard on coloring her 3D Victorian dollhouse puzzle.  Perhaps she will become an Interior Designer.

When they aren’t learning about the home building process, they enjoy going to school/pre-school, playing outside with their cats, dogs or horses, getting the occasional ride in the skid steer with mom or dad, going to the zoo, coloring, playing XBox, doing Cub Scout activities and watching movies.

Pictured below playing on a jobsite dirt mound . . . OH,  WHAT FUN!
