Danelle Benker, Office Manager & Co-Owner

Growing up, Danelle had varied interests that included horse showing, enjoying nature, book reading and art. She frequently doodled detailed house plans and sketches of fashion designs. In high school she discovered her love of accounting and the attention to detail it required. After graduating high school, she began studying accounting at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she met Mike in her freshman year. In 1996 they were married and she transferred to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL).

In May 1999, Danelle graduated from UNL with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Shortly thereafter she went to work for Kiewit Construction in Omaha, NE as an internal auditor. Later on she worked as an accountant in Kiewit’s Payroll and Cost Accounting departments. After leaving Kiewit in December 2006, she went to work for Nebraska Book Company as a Payroll Manager. In August 2008, she decided to work from home for Excite! and spend more time with the family.

Throughout this time she kept books for Mike’s business, performed general administrative duties and assisted with marketing. One of her favorite projects was designing the company’s logo.

Danelle gives back to the community by volunteering at PTO activities and being a Cub Scout Den Leader and a Treasurer for Waverly’s Pack 76.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, working with her horses, reading business and house building magazines and books, going for long walks and gardening.
