History

In February of 1999, Mike Benker in partnership with his brother-in-law Jason King, his wife Danelle and Jason’s wife Lisa began Frontier Builders LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska. Later in 1999, Jason and Lisa moved back to the Doniphan area to be close to extended family as their immediate family grew.

Mike and Danelle continued the business with Mike handling all operations full-time and Danelle handling bookkeeping, marketing and other general administrative duties on a part-time basis while she worked full-time for two large Nebraska corporations. In 2006, the business was incorporated and renamed to Excite! Builders, Inc.

In 2008, Danelle discontinued her outside work to devote more time to family, community and Excite! Builders’ growth.

Name Etymology

The meaning of the business name, Excite! Builders, Inc., is twofold. It captures the passion Mike and Danelle feel towards each client’s dreams and the positive building and employment experience they provide to each client and employee, respectively. In addition, it exudes the feelings experienced by homeowners during one of the most exciting and personal times in their life.
